Kilimanjaro Day Trip

For the very adventurous we can arrange a day hike to Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
We leave the resort after breakfast at 6.30 am and drive to Tarakea to clear with the immigration officials. The hike starts at the Nalemoru Ranger station in Tanzania and takes you up to the start of the moorland at 2800m. A guide and assistant will escort you on the way and give you in-depth knowledge about the area, people, flora, and fauna. After about 4 hours you reach the Sekimba camp where you stop for lunch and a rest before you descend again to the Ranger Station where our car is already waiting to take you back to the Garden Resort in Kenya.

You need good hiking shoes, a day bag, and a raincoat. Packed lunch, 2 liters of bottled water, guide services, and transfers are part of the KES 7,000/- package per person for a minimum of at least 4 participants. Park fees (Non-residents US$ 70/- and East African Citizen KES 800/- are not included). Please note if you wish to do this tour a notice of 24 hours is required to obtain a permit from the Park HeadQuarters in Marangu.
